Are You Committed?
You never know why you attend a certain personal or professional seminar, but when you do you get a ton of information that will help you move forward in areas of your life where you may be stuck. However, if you were like me for many years, I never really implemented it. Why? Perhaps it was a tad bit of fear. I am one who is not really afraid of failing because I think I have on so many occasions that I am used to it. But, more importantly, failing makes you stronger, smarter and more motivated.
Looking back over the years, I do have to say that my #1 reason for having been stuck in my life was the word “committed.” I was only interested. I had all the tools in my tool box, but the implementation would mean success and that is what made me scared.
It is really true what “they” say, “the teacher appears when the student is ready.” Don’t get me wrong, I have accomplished a lot, but this time it was like hearing the message and information for the first time.
You may be asking, why? There were many challenges over the last few years and they finally came to a close last year. My book was done, grad school is complete, mom is cancer free, daddy is at rest and sisters are on their own living their life. I finally have the emotional, mental and physical space and energy to do what I love to do: HELP OTHERS HELP THEMSELVES. I am no longer INTERESTED. I am COMMITTED!
My intentions have been to clarify what I want to be committed to for this upcoming year and all the others to follow. I want to continue to set the intention of making my life matter every single day. Once I freed myself from the chains of chaos (I found peace amid it but I was still in it), my life took off and the right people came into my life that added value to me personally and professionally.
Have you made that commitment?
In order for any of us to have a “no excuse attitude” we need to shift our hats. What are you willing to do each and every day to make life happen for yourself? Now, be intentional, clear, and honest with yourself. Visualize the life you want to create for yourself and set the intention to create it without excuses, blaming or avoiding. This way of living and thinking only limits our potential. It does not help us grow or move forward into the state of abundance.
So, what are you going to do differently to get committed to creating the life that awaits you? What are you going to let go of so there is room for your magnificence to shine? Stop focusing on money and earning, the money will come once you make a mental shift. Get surrounded with like-minded people who have the same goals and interests as you. What are you going to do today to attract all the right people who will get you there? It is amazing- once you can learn to let go and ask your God or the Universe what you really want, it most likely will show up. You have to believe in something bigger than yourself. If you are absent of spirituality, please reach out to someone and see what is out there for you. You are bound to resonate with some facet of this essential and critical element of life. Lastly, you just have to be committed and open to all possibilities. Having a spiritual practice and a group of friends will help you get there.
Your Goal:
Do one thing today that will get you one step closer to your dream, wish or goal. It will reveal itself in time.
